MADE TO ORDER: PRODUCTION TIME

        Most of our products are made-to-order. They are hand-cut and sewn at our studio in Toronto. We only start dyeing the fabric and making the garment after you order. Our production time is longer means you will have to wait for 3-6 weeks for your items to be shipped out.  By this means, we can reduce our fabric waste and also ensure each piece is made uniquely for you.

HAND DYED/PRINTED by NATURAL DYES 

        Our pieces are uniquely hand-dyed in our studio in small batches. Hand dyeing fabric is a long process that includes scouring, tanning, mordanting, and fabric dyeing. Hand printing requires a similar process but adding printing, steaming, chalking, etc. Therefore, the time will be longer. Usually, it will take a day or two to finish the colouring, and one to two weeks to cure the fabric. All the natural dyes and materials we use are safe for the environment, not toxic to the skin, and will not contaminate the water body when it washes.

MATERIALS: FABRIC & NOTIONS

        We use mostly bio-degradable materials, meaning natural fabric like organic cotton, lyocell, linen, hemp, etc., and notions like our customised Corozo button and Natural rubber elastic. All the materials are sustainable and ethically sourced. Most of our suppliers are in Canada, allowing us to reduce our carbon footprint. We are also continuously improving our materials to be even more sustainable and eventually have less negative environmental impact and less carbon footprint.
